Yes, I am a cold sore sufferer and it SUCKS SSOOO MUCHH. be glad if you don't So anyway i was wonderin why do my cold sores last like 3weeks? is it just really bad luck? But also whenever it finally starts to heal and theres a scab i tend to remove it by force of habit and it makes it worse.. When you do finally get a scab do u just leave it and it'll be gone quicker? also what else helps to get rid of these stupid things? i take lysine a vitamin for healthy mouth gums and i use this chap stick that protects your lips from SPF cause that can cause them, and its supposed to help prevent? its called HL30 " herpecin" answers would help , thankss

Ok I have been getting cold sores for a while now and I know it's the herpes virus please don't be so inconsiderate and tell me something I already know .. Ok anyways I get them usually once a month and I always get them at the end of my period .. Could this just be a coincidence ? And Is there anuthig I can take to help reduce the amount I get ? How can I stop coldsores ocurring?
My mother had a cold sore but couldn't resist kissing her baby me and so I also carry the virus with me to this day. They occur possibly every 2 months and are not the most pleasant of sights. I have even got a scar on my chin from where one occured and my skin took too long to recover so a scar now takes it's place. But I have recently discovered that chocolate triggers the virus to have an outburst of a sore. Knowing I myself am a chocoholic well, who isn't? I have considered maybe this is the answer, but I could never part from my love of cadburys, so I pushed that possibility to the back of my mind. Any answers on how I can tell if one is in the process of occuring, how I can get rid of one or make it heal or and how I can eliminate the virus from my cells completely?

Coldsores ?! ?!? so many?
i have gotten 3 coldsores this year so far i normally get them once a year and have had them since i was just little but this year is the first time i had one for two weeks and as soon as it was gone, two days later i got a new one and it has been over a month and i now have another and trust me theses are not tiny . what is happening? i normally dont get them like this?
